@ronnystalker - you are absolutely right, it doesn't "have to". In this example there is intentionally only one .loginLink element, so the dijitLine query is only run once but could potentially run many times (if there were more of them :) ), and would be redundant to run it multiple times. The part I'm trying to illustrate here is the popup handling, and if you would like to do more than one tooltip-per-query, you would likely have to adjust the code as you noted. dijitInline was "cheating" to begin with and only to work around my poor ability to properly style a form and labels in an small example :)

@neonstalwart - It seems you already have! Thanks for stepping up ... :)

Newbie with a question.

I'm following this tutorial and was just confused about the line of code that adds the "dijitInline" class to the "#tt span" elements.
Could you explain why it has occur within the ".loginLink forEach" loop.
Can't it just be done once for all "#tt span"s, outside the loop?

This tutorial is exactly what i need , so thanks.

once again... a very timely and helpful blog. thanks. i think this is the only example i could find of a programmatic tooltip dialog without a button. it might be worth adding something like this to the tests or to http://docs.dojocampus.org/dijit/TooltipDialog to expose it a little more.
